The property was first built in 1573 although the original structure of the building has altered extensively down through the years. In 1784 the property changed from a farm dwelling to an ale house when it was granted its first licence. The first reference to the property as 'The Kings Head' appeared in 1804.
Rod & Sue have been licensees since 1998 and have overseen the reemergence of the pub as a friendly community pub offering good beer, good food at inexpensive prices in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Food is served weekdays(except Tuesdays) from 12 until 3pm and on Sundays 12.30-3.30pm, there is also a curry night on Wednesday evenings from 7 until 9.45pm with a takeaway service from 7 until 10pm.
